lakeside reflection - photography
Water, colorless in itself, contributes greatly to the color effects of nature because of its capacity to reflect and transmit hues. ” ... “Smaller bodies of water are more affected by what is on the near-by shore. The reflected colors of objects on the bank of a stream are by the motion of the water woven together. If the colors are at all harmonious this weaving together with the slight graying of surface reflection of white light produces charming effects. When the rippling of the surface is just sufficient to thread the pattern with lines of blue from the sky, the result is like a tapestry woven on a ground of blue.
