It has not been so great for several years with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Since overtaking the top browser position many years ago, about the only improvements seen in the browser are along the lines of marketing and hooks for Microsoft. Outnumbering the improvements significantly are the amounts of security holes. Security issues so bad this week, that several have suggested not even using the browser at all. One article I read suggested removing it from the Windows workspace. Along with security issues, Internet Explorer has made little advance along the path of standards support.
call of duty 1.51.exeNow is the time to offer help to others learn about and install the alternatives.
Scott Andrew LePera put together a great short piece described as a Personal Switch Campaign, Internet Explorer Is Dangerous , following his own recent troubles, To Hell With Bad Browsers, Again.

I like it because it is quick, it offers me many web design and development tools, it is secure, it supports standards, the interface is customizable, the browser is full of other features(inlcuding tabbed browsing), has optional extensions, and it is Free. Can't beat that.
